Ingredients
- 1 cup chikpea flour (besan).
- 1/2 tsp baking powder.
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder.
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder.
- Salt to taste.
- Water as needed.
- Cooking oil for greasing the pan.
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl,Combine Chickpea flour,Baking powder,Turmeric powder,Cumin powder,red chili powder, and salt.
- Gradually add water and whisk until a smooth batter is formed.The consistency should be similar to pancake batter.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.Grease the pan with cooking oil.
- Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread it evenly to form a thin pancake.
- Cook the pancake for 2-3 minutes or until the edges start to crisp up and the bottom turns golden brown.
- Flip the pancake and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through.
- Remove the pancake from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
- Serve the chickpea pancakes hot with chutney,yogurt or any desired topping.
